Lac Jacques-Cartier: restrictions regarding access to the lake Details

Modification of the catch and keep limit (brook trout and arctic char)

Please note that the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec (MELCCFP) is reducing the catch and keep limit from 15 to 10 brook trout (including a maximum of 2 arctic char) for fishing activities. This measure applies as of the 2024 season and is intended to protect brook trout and arctic char populations. Belle-Rivière campground is located on the north shore of Lac de la Belle-Rivière.

From Québec City (188 km):

  • Take Route 175 Nord. At km 166, take the exit for Route 169 Nord. Turn left at km 57 of Route 169 Nord and follow the directions for Camping Belle-Rivière (6 km of forest road).

From Alma (30 km):

  • Take Route 169 Sud. Turn right at km 57 of Route 169 Sud and follow the directions for Camping Belle-Rivière (6 km of forest road).

How to use MicroSD files for Garmin GPS

Please follow these steps to copy the GPS file on your MicroSD card:

•  Download the GPS file.
•  Save the file on your workstation.
•  Decompress the*.zip file.
•  Insert the MicroSD card into your computer, perhaps with the help of an adapter.
•  Copy the Garmin folder on your MicroSD card.
•  Withdraw the MicroSD card from your computer.
•  Insert the MicroSD card into your Garmin GPS.

Important: Please do not change the name of the directory or of the file; otherwise your GPS will be unable to read the document. The MicroSD card can hold only one GPS file. Use is reserved for Garmin GPS only.
