Location

Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata lies on the territory of the RCM of Témiscouata in the Bas-Saint-Laurent tourism region. It is accessible by Route 185.

How to Get There

Anse-à-William campground

Important: Do not rely on the GPS indications, because it gives not passable paths.

From Quebec City:

• Option 1 (via Squatec entrance): Take Autoroute 20 east until Rivière-du-Loup. Continue on Autoroute 85/185 south. Take exit 40, toward Squatec, on Route 232 east. At the Squatec sector entrance, follow the signs for the park; the Anse-à-William campground is 23 km away.
• Option 2 (via the Saint-Juste sector entrance): during summer, a ferry service is available via Exit 29 of Highway 85.

From Rimouski:

• Take Route 232 west. At the stop sign, turn left toward Squatec. Follow the signs for the park; the Anse-à-William campground is 23 km away.

From Edmundston (New Brunswick):

• Option 1 (via Squatec entrance): Take Highway 2 west. Continue on Autoroute 85 north. Take exit 40, toward Squatec, on Route 232 east. At the Squatec sector entrance, follow the signs for the park; the Anse-à-William campground is 23 km away.
• Option 2 (via the Saint-Juste sector entrance): during summer, a ferry service is available via Exit 29 of Highway 85.

Des Grands-Pins campground (Dégelis sector)

Important: there are 2 entrances to the park. Take the one in the Dégelis sector.

From Quebec City:

• Take Autoroute 20 east until Rivière-du-Loup. Continue on Autoroute 85/185 south. Take exit 14 and follow the signs for Route 295 north. The access road is located between kilometre posts 7 and 8. Ready-to-camp units are 1.5 km away.

From Rimouski:

• Take Route 232 west. At the stop sign, turn left onto Route 295 south, which crosses the municipality of Squatec. Continue on this road. The park access road is located between kilometre posts 8 and 7. Ready-to-camp units are 1.5 km away.

From Edmunston (New Brunswick):

• Take Highway 2 west. Continue on Autoroute 85 north.  Exit 12, follow the signs for Route 295 north. The access road is located between kilometre posts 7 and 8.  Ready-to-camp units are 1.5 km away.

Grand-Lac-Touladi campground

Important: Do not rely on the GPS indications, because it gives not passable paths.

From Quebec City (2 options):

• Option 1 (via Squatec sector entrance): Take Autoroute 20 east until Rivière-du-Loup. Continue on Autoroute 85/185 south. Take exit 40, toward Squatec, on Route 232 east. At the Squatec sector entrance, follow the signs for the park; the Grand-Lac-Touladi campground is 24 km away.
• Option 2 (via the Saint-Juste sector entrance): during summer, a ferry service is available via Exit 29 of Highway 85.

From Rimouski:

• Take Route 232 west. At the stop sign, turn left toward Squatec. Follow the signs for the park; the Grand-Lac-Touladi campground is 24 km away.

Le Petit Témis bike path

Prolong your cycling experience by taking Le Petit Témis bike path (stone dust). From Anse-à-Williams campground (Squatec sector), via the N. M. Corégone ferry.

From Grands-Pins campground (Dégelis sector): located at 5 km. Access to the Petit Témis bik path to enjoy more than 63 km (southern portion) of bike paths.

N. M. Corégone ferry (From May 25 to October 14, 2024)

Saint-Juste du Lac/Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac (Notre-Dame du Lac sector). The ferry is accessible to all categories of vehicles, as well as to pedestrians and bikes. Pets

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
