Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay has the potential to inspire wonder! And the best way is to participate in our discovery activities (in French only). Through the interpretation of natural and cultural heritage, you’ll learn more about the park and the importance of protecting it.
Among the treasures we hope to share is without a doubt the Saguenay Fjord, the area’s main attraction. This glacial valley invaded by sea water has steep cliffs that shelter Peregrine Falcon nesting sites. The confluence of forest and marine habitats create extraordinary biological diversity that is sure to amaze you!
To guide us in developing our discovery activities, all the parks have an education plan.
By land and water, the Saguenay Fjord can be discovered over more than just one day. Step this way adventurers!
Guided or on your own, on land or sea, the park offers many opportunities for long expeditions.
How would you like to visit two parks during the same trip? That’s what a long sea kayaking expedition offers: you’ll navigate the waters of Parc marin du Saguenay-Saint-Laurent by day and rest at night in a tent or a hut at Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay!
Those who would rather keep both feet on the ground will find a winding backpacking trail on either side of the fjord. On the south shore, Sentier Les Caps trail, connecting Baie-Éternité and Anse-Saint-Jean, is dominated by forest landscapes and opens onto several views of the fjord. On the north shore, Sentier Le Fjord trail goes between Baie-Sainte-Marguerite and Tadoussac. The trail runs alongside the fjord, which is omnipresent on this hike.
