Access and Operating Period

Get directions

From Montréal:

  • Take Highway 40 to Québec City. Then, from Québec City, take Route 175 North to Chicoutimi. Cross Dubuc bridge to reach the northern sector and follow directions for Route 172 East towards Tadoussac. 10 km from Chicoutimi at the village of Saint-Fulgence take Rue Saguenay, and then take Rang Saint-Louis for 17 km.

From Charlevoix:

  • Continue on Route 138 to Fjord du Saguenay. Take the ferry to Tadoussac. On the north shore of the fjord, take 172 West (Route de Tadoussac) towards Chicoutimi. At the village of Saint-Fulgence (93 km after Tadoussac), take Rue Saguenay, and then take Rang Saint-Louis for 17 km.

Discovery and Visitors Centre

Reception, information, and reservations, permanent exhibit, Boutique Nature, camper registration, equipment rental, sale of provincial fishing licences. Open 7 days a week.

When the Discovery and Visitors Centre is closed, the community room and washrooms are open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Public transit

A public transit service takes you from Saguenay to St-Fulgence via STS, located at 17 km from the park entrance.

The Discovery and Visitors Centre offers access to the mobility-impaired.

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
