Lake sturgeon
A very impressive fish, its average size varies between 90cm and 140cm and its average weight, between 5kg and 35kg. Its hefty, elongated body looks as though it is covered with bone plates that give it a prehistoric look. Some females can live as long as 80 years. A bottom fish, it dwells in muddy areas.
