Fall getaway in a cabin

Five outings that are not to be missed

Sépaq has more than 350 cabins to offer in the fall. We propose five destinations where the colours are vibrant and where nature is truly awe-inspiring. A fall getaway is a wonderful way to extend your holidays. Let yourself be inspired!

Parc national du Mont-Orford

In the fall, the sugar maples here treat us to a flamboyant spectacle. How can you best enjoy this display? Hike along the Mont-Chauve trail, a four-hour intermediate-level hike. Ride along the bike path which gives you access to several viewpoints. Gently head out on the water. The cabins, including the EXP. variety, are located close to these activities as well as to Le Bonnallie Visitors Centre, where you’ll find a convenience store, a snack-bar on weekends in the fall, a Boutique Nature shop, and equipment rental services. And why not look into an overnight stay?

Parc national des Grands-Jardins

Scaling Mont du Lac des Cygnes is an experience that’s not to be missed. You’ll have a unique view on the Charlevoix Meteorite Crater and Vallée du Gros Bras. Want an even bigger kick? This is the ideal period to test your mettle on the via ferrata. You’ll have a breathtaking view on the park, safe and secure under the watchful eye of an experienced guide. Then you can return to your one-of-a-kind, two-person EXP. cabin, and relax in the heart of this dazzling setting. Don’t forget the marshmallows to roast over the campfire!

Parc national du Mont-Tremblant

The biggest national park in Quebec is a real gold mine to be discovered during fall. In La Diable sector, you can most notably combine your stay at one of the new Écho cabins with a superb hike down Le Centenaire trail offering magnificent views of the region. If you instead spend the night in La Pimbina sector, opt for a night in a Nature cabin, after biking down magnificent Chute-aux-Rats trail earlier in the day.

Gîte du Mont-Albert cabins

Located at the heart of Parc national de la Gaspésie, the Gîte du Mont-Albert cabins will charm you with their very typical cachet. You can also enjoy the services offered at the Gîte, a four-star hotel that’s renowned for its hospitality, fine local and regional cuisine, and unique decor. And make a getaway to Mont Jacques-Cartier before September 30. It’s the very best place to do some caribou watching and is definitely not to be missed. Bring your binoculars!

Centre touristique du Lac-Simon

Even in the fall, the vast Centre touristique du Lac-Simon playground continues to tingle with life. To enjoy this excitement, a getaway is recommended at one of the Beach sector cabins. You’ll be a few steps away from the many activities on offer at this time of year: a walk on the sandy shore, a bike or walking tour to admire the colours, playground modules for the kids, or a round of minigolf for the whole family.
