From Montreal:

  • Take Highway 15 N, then take Exit 35 (Highway 50 W). When reaching the end of the Highway 50, take the Exit 203, turn right on Route 321 S until Papineauville. At the lights, turn right on Route 148 O. The park is located at 6 km from Papineauville. The park entrance is located along Route 148 in Plaisance at 1001 Chemin des Presqu'iles.

From Gatineau:

  • Take Highway 50 E until exit 187 for Thurso (it will be at the end of the highway). Turn left on the 317 S until Thurso village. At the lights, turn left on the Route 148 E. Plaisance is the village after Thurso. The park entrance is located on the Presqu'iles Way.

The park is open year-round. When planning your activities, find out when the services are available for each sector.

During winter, the park remains accessible by foot or snowshoe. Until the end of April, the registration buildings and washrooms are closed and the trails are not groomed. Only the Discovery and Visitors Centre parking lot is open. You must purchase your daily access online. During this period, we can be reached by email at

When the reception desks are closed, customers must pay their entry fee (cash only) using the self-payment terminal or by purchasing their daily access online.

The community centre and the campground washroom facilities are accessible to the mobility-impaired.

Near the swimming pool and the playground is the community centre. It has a coin laundry for visitors.

Nearby Services

A kilometre from the Discovery and Visitors Centre, the village of Plaisance has several stores and service outlets: grocery stores, restaurants, gas services, etc.

A bit further east, Papineauville and Montebello offer several categories of accommodation: bed and breakfasts, motels, prestige hotels, etc.

The greater Hull-Aylmer-Gatineau urban area and the national capital region offer a full range of specialized services as well as numerous cultural institutions.

Public Transit

No public transit directly serves the park. Travellers can, however, take the bus that runs from Montréal to Ottawa and Hull and get off at the Plaisance stop, about 7 km from the park entrance.

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
