The Antoine-Dubuc Lodge is located in Parc national des Monts-Valin that lies in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.

Location and access to this sector in the summer

In the summer, the Baie d’Alexis sector is accessible by car via Chemin du Bras-des-Canots (10 km) or on foot along Randonnée des Pics trail (20 km).

• Distance from the Discovery and Visitors Centre (park reception): 10 km (gravel road)

Location and access to the sector in the winter

In the winter, the Baie d’Alexis sector is accessible on a tracked vehicle ($) along Chemin du Bras-des-Canots (10 km – 45 minutes) or on skis or snowshoes along the backcountry trail network.

• In the daytime during winter, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., along with its function as a warming hut, the Antoine-Dubuc Lodge serves as a terminal for Vallée des Fantômes departures and arrivals and is open to the public.
• Activities on the site or nearby in the summer: hiking, fishing, mountain biking (on gravel roads), wildlife observation, water sports (kayak, pedal boat, canoe and stand up paddle) and expedition in the backcountry.
• Activities on the site or nearby in the winter: snowshoeing, Hok skiing, backcountry skiing, wildlife observation and expedition in the backcountry.
• Huts may be scattered throughout the campground, and be more or less close to the activities and services available.
• It is prohibited to go off the trails in a national park.
• It is prohibited to make outdoor fires near huts, primitive camping platforms or along the trails.
• Hikers must bring all garbage back out with them. This rule applies along the trails and in the huts.

• Always check the distance of the hut from the Visitors Centre. Detailed trail maps can usually be purchased at the park or by phone.
• Certain amenities, like grocery stores and gas stations, may be located quite far from your campsite.
• In some places, communications with the outside world may be difficult and there are no regular patrols. Each skier is responsible for his or her own safety. Fees for search and rescue operations will be charged to the beneficiary. (Prior to the outing, individuals must make sure that their insurance covers these risks).
• The isolation of certain areas limits the use of portable phones; however, we still recommend that you include a communications device in your equipment.
