Vallée Sector

From Québec City:

  • Take the Route 73 N (follow directions for Saguenay), which becomes the 175 N. The entrance to the Vallée sector is near exit 182, Chemin du Parc-National. The distance from downtown Québec City to the entrance to La Vallée sector is 40 km. It is another 10 km to the Discovery and Visitors Centre.

Public transportation services from Quebec City to the park

Outdoor enthusiasts currently can count on a public transportation service to travel from Quebec City to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier without a car.

Quatre Natures shuttle

Every day of the week, all year round, you can take the Quatre Natures shuttle from Place d’Armes (9 a.m.) or from Gare du Palais (9:10 a.m.) to go directly to the discovery and visitors centre at the heart of Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. Booking required. The return trip will be at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. (depending on the season) from the discovery and visitors centre (travel time: 45 minutes). Details

Domestic animals

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
