Parc national de Frontenac straddles the Cantons-de-l'Est and Chaudière-Appalaches tourism regions. Its  3 sectors are spread over nearly 30 km around Grand Lac Saint-François.

Saint-Daniel Sector (Baie aux Rats-Musqués, Baie-des-Sables and Rivière Aux-Bluets campgrounds)

Location

From Quebec City:

  • Take Highway 73 up to Vallée-Jonction, the Routes 112 and 267.

From Montreal and the Eastern Townships (2 choices):

  • OPTION A - Take Highway 10 E to exit 143 (Fleurimont), then Route 610 to Route 112. Take Route 112 to Disraeli. From there, take Chemin du barrage Allard (Rang 6), then Route 267 S.
  • OPTION B - Take Highway 20 E to exit 228, then Route 165 S to Black Lake. After, take Route 112 E to Thetford Mines. From there,  turn right on Route 267 and follow the directions to Saint-Daniel sector.

Southern Sector (Baie Sauvage and Lac Egan campgrounds, canoe-camping and accommodation)

Location

From Quebec City:

  • Take Highway 73, then route 173 up to Beauceville. From there, take route 108 west up to Lambton. At the exit of the village, follow the directions to Parc national de Frontenac (Southern sector) via route 263 North until the bridge.

From Montreal and Eastern Townships (2 choices)

  • OPTION A - Take highway 10 East. Bypass downtown Sherbrooke via highway 610 East by following the directions for Thetford Mines. At the end of highway 610, take route 112 East until Disraeli. From there, follow the directions for Parc national de Frontenac (Southern sector) via route 263 South until the iron bridge.
  • OPTION B - Take highway 20 East until exit 228, then route 165 South until Thetford Mines (Black Lake sector). Turn right on route 112 West towards Disraeli. From there, follow the directions for Parc national de Frontenac (Southern sector) via route 263 South until the iron bridge.

Sainte-Praxède sector (picnic and light boat launching)

This sector is located halfway between the Southern and Saint-Daniel sectors. To access it, follow the directions to Parc national de Frontenac (Sainte-Praxède sector).

Additional Information

IMPORTANT: The park's roads leading to the activities and services are gravel roads. The park is accessible year-round, but during fall and winter, there is no service on site. Outside the regular season, traffic is restricted on certain roads in the park. Cyclists and hikers having paid the entry fee can access the trail network from the following parking lots:

Saint-Daniel Sector

Saint-Daniel Visitors Centre 
Located at 2 km from the sector entrance. Services: reception and information, payment of entry fee, camper registration, boutique, mini-convenience store, provincial fishing licence and nautical equipment rental

Southern Discovery and Visitors Centre
Located at 800 m from the sector entrance. Services: reception and information, payment of entry fee, camper, canoer/camper, and cabin user registration, provincial fishing licence, boat rental, boutique and mini-convenience store

Parc national de Frontenac, in collaboration with Happy Yak meals, offers a ready-to-eat food service. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, Happy Yak meals are delicious, easy to prepare and lightweight for transport. They provide enough calories to meet the nutritional needs of fans of the great outdoors and the portions are very generous.

Pets

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
