If you'd like to try your hand at teleworking in the great outdoors, there are a number of initiatives in place in Sépaq's national parks, wildlife reserves, and tourist establishments to make your life easier and your experience more enjoyable. This resort, just 30 minutes from Québec (2h30 from Montréal), is much appreciated for the quality of its facilities. New, spacious cabins welcome teleworkers - whether on their own or as part of a team - and impress them with their access to and view of magnificent Lac Saint-Joseph. An office area is also available in the hotel rooms. And what can we say about the on-site dining facilities? Wi-Fi is free, and coming up this fall… there’ll be unlimited coffee too with the Fall remote work package!
Parc national de la Gaspésie
Getting to the office has never been so spectacular! In the shadow of the gigantic 1000‑metre‑high Chic‑Chocs peaks, here's a chance to work far away from the distractions of the city or home. Most of the sector is without cell phone coverage, but whether you're camping or staying in a cabin, the Wi‑Fi networks of Gîte du Mont‑Albert or the discovery and visitors centre are never far away. Need a break? The hotel bistro welcomes you, as do the many trails that criss‑cross the surrounding peaks. A magical place for sure!
Parc national des Hautes‑Gorges‑de‑la‑Rivière‑Malbaie
In the heart of the spectacular river valley, a true jewel of Charlevoix, you'll simply forget you're working. Le Draveur Visitors Centre is especially worth considering, with its breathtaking view of the river and open‑plan section equipped with tables and chairs. Here, you can dine on local produce, or even top off your workday with a local beer! There's no cell phone coverage, but Wi‑Fi is free of charge.
Parc national du Mont‑Orford
A great opportunity to escape into nature. Close to major centres, but at the same time as wild as they come, Parc du Mont‑Orford offers the perfect setting for professionals looking for a change of scenery. Parc national d’Oka
If the beach can't come to the office, the office will go to the beach! Parc national d'Oka is the perfect place for professionals on the go to work right next to the water. The sky’s the limit, thanks to accessible Wi‑Fi and good cell phone coverage. Although it can be noisy in summer, Le Littoral, the open‑plan registration centre and reception building, is still an excellent base camp just a few steps from the beach.
Parc national de Frontenac
A brand‑new third visitors centre in the southern sector of Beauce's Parc national de Frontenac offers workers privileged access to the forest. Glassed‑in and tree‑lined, the site even has a balcony overlooking the woodland. Tables, chairs, and Wi‑Fi complete this total greenery "office."
Parc national d’Opémican
Québec’s newest national park, Parc national d'Opémican is a cutting‑edge establishment, featuring a bright, modern building facility. Large tables make it easy to work.
