Inspiring nature
Are you inspired by Mother Nature? That's the question we put to singer-songwriter Matt Holubowski and painter Stéphanie Robert.

Réserve faunique de Portneuf
To test the stimulating effects of open spaces on creativity, our team invited singer‑songwriter Matt Holubowski to spend a few days in a cabin at Réserve faunique de Portneuf. The artist, who hails from Hudson on the outskirts of Montréal, enjoyed a protracted session of composing by the wood‑burning stove.
"There's something very musical about nature. When you find yourself in Mother Nature’s embrace, having time to contemplate the natural world and to be inspired by it, you're never quite sure what's going to come next."
Stéphanie Robert
Parc national des Grands-Jardins
Ensconced in the Bas St‑Laurent region of Québec, painter Stéphanie Robert is renowned for her colourful canvases, inspired by the luminous movement of nature. We invited her to Parc national des Grands‑Jardins to immerse herself in the richness of this unique territory. Here, she opens the doors to her creative bubble, and the sight of her gracefully wielding colours and brushes is a thing of beauty.
"Nature is fundamental to my work. We’re all Mother Nature’s children, and the natural world is always at a point of perfection, a point of balance, so for me, creating is a way of honouring the Mother of us all."
