Picnicking at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

What could be better than an afternoon picnic to feel immediately transported into the realm of our sweet summer memories? Especially since Parc de la Chute-Montmorency has a knack for making us feel like we're on vacation every single time we visit.

Feel like something more thrilling? Let yourself be tempted by the via ferrata circuits or the zipline descent and end the day in style with a stop at Restaurant-Terrasse du Manoir. Colourful menu, superb terrace with a panoramic view... you'll fall under its spell.

Going for a spin on one of our bike paths

If there's one activity that's just as enjoyable when the weather cools down, it's cycling! As soon as we hop on our bikes, the wind that whips our faces and the scenery that parades before our eyes make us feel like we're in the middle of summer again. As a bonus, the slightly cooler weather makes the activity sweeter than during the big heat waves. Click here to discover the list of all our bike paths.

Getting away for a weekend at Duchesnay

Only 30 minutes from Quebec City, the Duchesnay tourist resort offers an impressive number of activities that can be enjoyed until fall. Hiking, nautical activities, guided adventures, cycling, and a whole lot more besides!

Moreover, the comfortable rooms of Auberge Duchesnay and the delicious cuisine of Bistro-bar Le Quatre-Temps are other great reasons to plan a stay at this marvellous site.

Visiting Aquarium du Québec*

A day at Aquarium du Québec is an opportunity to dive into the very heart of the sea and meet the 10,000 marine creatures living there. While exploring the safe, one-way circuit, you can even chat with one of our animal guides in front of the walrus and seal pools!

You can also picnic right on site and try out the tree-to-tree circuit. Combine the experience with an overnight stay at Station Duchesnay, only 30 minutes from the aquarium, for a complete weekend getaway. What’s more, a combo package is offered by both establishments!

* Online booking required.

Extending your camping season

In addition to making us forget that summer is coming to an end, there are many advantages to end-of-season camping. The tranquility, the absence of mosquitoes, the best campsites available at the last minute, comforting meals around the fire, cooler nights... trying it is owning it!

Would you like to try out this experience for the first time this year? Here are a few tips on how to organize a stay that's both pleasant and comfortable.

Stealing some moments of relaxation at our ready-to-camps and hotels

Lastly, sometimes we become a little more sedate toward the end of the summer. You still want to enjoy the great outdoors and beautiful sunsets, but you're mainly looking for relaxation and simpler formulas offering creature comforts? This is where Auberge Duchesnay, Gîte du Mont-Albert, and our ready-to-camp facilities become very popular choices indeed. And let's face it, it feels good to enjoy maximum comfort too.

In short, come September, the summer isn't over yet, but we must admit that it's slowly coming to an end. Then let's take advantage of these last moments so that we have no regrets when the warm season finally gives way to the first flakes.

See you outside for a last summer outing?
